Membership Privileges & Structure

There are two types of Resort Reservations Association members: Charter and Associate. Each is described below and receives different benefits.

Annual Meetings (All Charter & Associate Members Welcome)

Meetings take place at a member destination and usually entail one and a half days of workshops, educational and networking events. Each meeting also includes the Charter Member Round Table (charter members only), our infamous “share and tell” where charter members share their ups and down, successes and opportunities from the previous season.   This session is confidential, meeting minutes will not be posted and associate members are not invited to participate.

Dues include attendance for 2 people at biannual meetings, usually held in the spring (in conjunction with the Mountain Travel Symposium) and fall.  Additional attendees are invited to attend at a $125 per person per meeting fee.

Unfortunately Associate Members are not permitted in the Charter Member Round Table, which usually takes place during the first half day of each meeting.

Charter Members

Full/Charter Members are those who operate inbound information and reservation services on behalf of tourism-dependent businesses in destination (primarily mountain) resort communities.  Membership benefits include:

  • Listing in the membership directory and web site.
  • Participation/access to central reservations-related research conducted by Resort Reservations Association on behalf of its members.  Currently the following reports are being produced:
    • Reservation Activity Report or RAP (sample report) – All Resort Reservations Association charter members are encouraged to submit their reservation and booking data monthly.   This data is then aggregated and displayed the monthly RAP.  All individual Cen Res data will be kept confidential.  Specific information on participating if available upon request.
    • RAP Wrap (sample report):  A winter season end summary of the RAP data is complied with graphs and charts in a PowerPoint presentation.
    • Additional reports may be purchased that compared an individual Cen Res’s performance to the aggregate of all Resort Reservations Association members or a competitive set of Cen Reses for an additional fee.
  •  Use of and access to the www.ResortReservationsAssociation.org web site (currently in redevelopment) and the member’s only section where meeting minutes, board meeting minutes, full contact information for all Charter and Associate members are posted.
  • Use of “official” Resort Reservations Association member logo for member’s website and collateral

Membership Fee:  $950/year

Associate Members

Associate Members comprise any/all other businesses who are interested in Resort Reservations Association and its Charter Members, but who do not fit the Charter Member criteria. Most Associate Members are vendors and/or suppliers of products and services used by Charter Members.  Membership benefits include:

  • Listing in the membership directory and web site.
  • Access to central reservations related research conducted by Resort Reservations Association on behalf of its members.
  • Use of and access to the www.ResortReservationsAssociation.org web site and the member’s only section where meeting minutes, board meeting minutes, full contact information for all Charter and Associate members are posted.
  • All associate members are invited to do a 5 minute presentation with no visual aids at each membership meeting.  Longer presentations with a PowerPoint or other visual aids are available to members who choose to sponsor a meal or break during the meeting.  Previous meal sponsors will have the first opportunity to continue to sponsor the same meal/event.  If they decline, the opportunity will be open to all associate members.

Meal/break sponsorship benefits include the following:

  •  Recognition by the President before, during and after meal
  •  Logo and recognition on meeting agenda (printed and emailed) to all members
  •  Table tent or sign at meal with “Sponsored by” with logo
  •  15 minute presentation with visual aids (PowerPoint)
  •  Handouts passed out to each member before/during presentation
  •  Meal sponsors will present to the membership first, in order of their financial contribution with the largest sponsor going first.

Membership Fee:  $950/year
